Half Day Dahlia Workshops

Dahlia workshops are held when flowers are blooming in September and October.

Each season brings different growing challenges for every flower farmer and gardener. Dahlias, however, are know for their tenacity. Their colors are the perfect accent to the hastening fall accompanying deep blue skies, with hints of rainbow foliage still to come.

This morning workshop, held on-site in the safe and open air of our fields, offers a unique opportunity to learn the basics you need to know about dahlias in a few edifying hours. Bear Creek Farm founder, Debra Kaye, focuses on planting, growing, and harvesting dahlias. The workshop consists of a farm tour and in-field instruction and includes all materials for on-site learning.
